This started out as a joke…. but now I kind of like it. : )

I just wanted to share a few new wedding compilations I made recently…. okay, more like 22, but at least they aren’t holiday portraits anymore! ; )

yay! minor news, but i am excited nonetheless…. i finally got around to designing some new event business cards. look for them in your local coffee shop!!
here is the final design. the cards are 2 sided…. so one side is my logo the other is the photograph and information.

Firstly, for the women out there that are planning your wedding in a slightly nontraditional or “offbeat” way, the Offbeat Bride Tribe is a fantastic forum to get inspired and socialize with other brides to be!
That said, i was delighted to see that a post that i created in regards to our wedding invitations was featured on the offbeat bride.
here is a link to view the post!
ewok wedding invitations!
i have since received quite a few requests to custom design invitations….. and the answer is most definitely, yes! if you are interested in having me design your “offbeat” invites, just email me and we can discuss.

so…. a while back carl created a fantastic stop motion video, EWOK!. it includes, of course, ewoks, as well as other creatures and knick-knacks found around our house. anyway, i knew that i wanted to take some photos of them holding our wedding rings! i mentioned to carl that we could use them on our wedding invitations. he looked at me strangely and didn’t seem very into the idea. so…. i continued on and took some photos of the ewoks in our backyard. i loaded the pics and showed them to him. he was delighted and wanted to use them! woohoo! so…. thats how the ewok invite came to be. so, yes, we are geeks…. but we are not necessarily star wars geeks. well, maybe carl is a bit more than i. i actually only really remember the ewoks! haha.
anyway the invites took me a while to design as i wanted to convey both our sense of humor as well as a bit of romance…. oh, and some information about the wedding of course! ha!
anyway, here are just some of the ewok photos::

and, of course,…. our invitations…. they are tri-fold invitations. i added the black lines to show where the folds are….
