Kids with Lollipops!

Below are portraits of my sister, her husband and their 3 kids (shew….I didn’t have to use the word niece, nephew or nibling). Anyway, I absolutely love, love, love, love, love these kids!! They are always soo much fun and they are growing so darn fast. I look at their family pictures and wonder when this happened exactly? Weren’t my sister and I just kids yesterday? The kids are like baby bunnies that just keep showing up. Time and change is an amazing thing….

Anyway, I had big lollipops to bribe the boys with. It turned out that the photos of them eating the lollipops were some of my favorite from the day. Thank you Gavin, Ethan & Kylie!! Love, Ann Issa (aka: Aunt Melissa)

I recently posted a blog titled “Katelyn”. You can view it HERE. This is part 2 of that blog. Katelyn has 2 older sisters and an older brother. They were all so much fun to work with! Thanks to their parents it was very laid back and fun the entire time! I am so glad I had the opportunity to work with such a fun family. : )

Group Family Portraits!

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to photograph the extended family of a wonderful family that I have been photographing for some time now. Their three girls are always so much fun. Here is a link to some of the holiday portraits that I did of them this past season: Sisters!

Since I always enjoy working with them, I figured that this group family portrait would be fun as well. Lucky for me, I was right! It isn’t always easy gathering people together for a large family portrait. In this case, everyone was in great spirits, cooperative and happy! A wonderful thing!! I’d also like to mention that they had a great sense of humor which is always appreciated by me. Also…. with such delicious food being served (my husband and I ate up the yummy muffins!) sitting for a few group portraits was worth it, I’m sure.

The portraits are a gift for the parents/ grandparents 50th Anniversary. This is a priceless, thoughtful and wonderful gift to celebrate such a momentous occasion! I do hope that they love it!

Cousins!

morris arboretum!

this past weekend i met up with the a great family for some portraits at the beautiful morris arboretum. seriously, what a beautiful location on a gorgeous day! well worth devoting a day to exploring if you have never been there before. it was surprisingly crowded as there was a fall festival/ scarecrow contest going on. we had to move around lots of people for portraits, but we made it work and it really wasn’t a problem. i had such a great time doing these portraits. teenager, John, was so mature and easy going for the photographs. thanks so much for that, John! also, John’s parents, Shirly & Dan are so in love! they were so cute together. i loved it.

On our walk around the arboretum we found this really cool…errr… sculpture/ hut/ thingy… not really sure what it was…. but we liked it. up close it was quite spectacular. It reminded me of a birds nest which seemed perfect for a family portrait.

John adventurously climbed this tree for me!

though the arboretum doesn’t allow dogs, a friendly neighbor was able to bring the much loved yorkie, named Laddie, for a family portrait just outside the park. Laddie helped to make the family portrait complete.

okay, so i know these last two seem morbid…. but we actually found this leaf while doing portraits. i held it up to Shirley who, from afar, thought it said “dream” on it. she then suggested taking a photo with it which i thought was great.

Thanks again to all 3 of you! I know that being followed around a garden by a woman with a camera isn’t your typical Sunday…. but you all did great and I had a fantastic time!

now that carl & i are married, our families are officially family. how nice! carl’s sister & brother in law held a family reunion/ barbecue at their new and beautiful home in glen mills, pa. it was a gorgeous day and a lot of fun. i did some family photos and a bunch of random pics of all of the kids (cousins) playing in the yard and driveway. good times…. here are a few favorites::
