Long Beach Island Family Portraits!

What a beautiful and fun day we had the other week on Long Beach Island!

To keep it simple, these two beautiful people….

…made these two beautiful people:

And, well, I was very lucky enough to photograph all four of them.

I had such a hard time editing favorites for this session, so I am including a bunch!

As many of you know, I often tell the kids to say silly things like “stinky feet!”. These guys really had fun with it and I was able to capture a bunch of silly, happy and natural moments.

Digging for worms….

If it seems like I am always digging for worms….. that is because it is true. As a kid, it was one of my favorite things to do. I always loved insects like worms, spiders, rolly pollys, etc…. As an adult, it seems that I still do. I am always digging with my nephews and the kids that I photograph. So… to start this blog, here are a couple of worm pics:

A few years ago, I photographed this wonderful family. At the time they only had 2 kids and one on the way. It was so wonderful to see Matthew & Natalie again and, of course, to finally meet Katherine. They have grown so much and have such sweet personalities. Here are some favorites….

Group Family Portraits!

This past Sunday I had the opportunity to photograph the extended family of a wonderful family that I have been photographing for some time now. Their three girls are always so much fun. Here is a link to some of the holiday portraits that I did of them this past season: Sisters!

Since I always enjoy working with them, I figured that this group family portrait would be fun as well. Lucky for me, I was right! It isn’t always easy gathering people together for a large family portrait. In this case, everyone was in great spirits, cooperative and happy! A wonderful thing!! I’d also like to mention that they had a great sense of humor which is always appreciated by me. Also…. with such delicious food being served (my husband and I ate up the yummy muffins!) sitting for a few group portraits was worth it, I’m sure.

The portraits are a gift for the parents/ grandparents 50th Anniversary. This is a priceless, thoughtful and wonderful gift to celebrate such a momentous occasion! I do hope that they love it!

Williamsport Vacation…

Yes, I am still dreaming of summer….. Back in August, we took a family vacation to Williamsport, PA to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and go to the Little League World Series. It was a great vacation and one of the very few full family vacations we have ever taken. With 3 siblings and 2 full time working parents, it just never really happened as kids. We stayed in a house and a cabin that was right on the lake. There was lots of kayaking, fishing, reading, card playing, camp firing and eating going on. Though I am clearly a city girl at heart, I love being in nature and really enjoyed our week there so much.

now that carl & i are married, our families are officially family. how nice! carl’s sister & brother in law held a family reunion/ barbecue at their new and beautiful home in glen mills, pa. it was a gorgeous day and a lot of fun. i did some family photos and a bunch of random pics of all of the kids (cousins) playing in the yard and driveway. good times…. here are a few favorites::
