Melissa Hassey » mickey mouse http://melissahassey.com Photography Services Mon, 21 May 2012 14:13:18 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.2.1 Disney, anyone? http://melissahassey.com/2010/01/disney-anyone/ http://melissahassey.com/2010/01/disney-anyone/#comments Sat, 16 Jan 2010 03:57:28 +0000 melissa http://melissahassey.com/?p=2006 About a week after my session with the 9 cousins (posted HERE), I headed over to the children’s Grandparent’s house to do a session with one of the families.  One thing I learned about the whole family is how much they love Disney!  They had a beautiful tree decorated with all Disney, especially Mickey Mouse ornaments.  The three beautiful sisters; Brianna, Ella & Ava loved it especially!  All 3 girls are so sweet, have so much energy and did such a great job for the portraits.  It was even mild enough to go outside barefoot for a few!  Sighhh……   can’t wait for better weather soon!

Just as we were finishing up and I started to pack up my equipment, Brianna sat in this window and started reading.  Naturally, I unpacked my camera and ran in to capture the moment.  I really love these.  As a photographer I loved that the backlit sun hit the white pages of the book that she was reading and bounced onto her, highlighting her face…

anyway, as usual, John Paul was full of energy and excited to play in the yard and in the park. he loves to climb and goes to some very impressive heights…. quickly, i might add. :)

the session took place in Hammonton, NJ. we also visited the new senior center near the beautiful Hammonton Lake. to our amusement, there happened to be an idle firetruck there as well. we decided to utilize that for a few fun portraits!

all in all it was a beautiful day! i had a lot of fun. many thanks to Laura & John for continuing to ask me to preserve these memories for you. You both are great!

here is John Paul just after i arrived. he is a big mickey mouse fan and enjoys doing “the hot dance” (one of my nephew’s favorites as well)
