Awe

AWE – noun

1.  an overwhelming feeling of reverence, admiration, fear, etc., produced by that which is grand, sublime, extremely powerful, or the like:  in awe of god.

2. Archaic. power to inspire fear or reverence

Well, it seems that I am very much alive as I am often “awed”.  On this beautiful, chilly, snowy day I can’t help but to daydream, once again, about our recent trip to the Southwest.  Particularly, I think about The Cathedral Rock Trail in Sedona, AZ.  I have every intention of returning there someday…..  This was a short (1.5 mi), steep (600 ft) and extraordinarily rewarding hike.  I loved getting to the top, kicking off my shoes, pressing my toes into the red earth and sitting in amazement at the vastness and beauty that we were surrounded by…..

Sigh…..

I know that I already posted about this place…. but it is worth 2 posts… maybe more.  😉
