I have been excited to share these Mad Men inspired engagement portraits of Alison and Justin for a while now. (A&J, thanks for being patient with me!!)
These two will be getting married this October and I couldn’t be more excited for them! Not only do I get to attend a wedding as a GUEST (woah!), but I know that theirs will be a unique, beautiful and sincere wedding with lots of funky dancing to boot (yeah!). Alison & I met sometime around 2006 (what? 7 years ago!? time flies) and have become close friends since. She and Justin are completely in love and that makes me so happy. I had an amazing time photographing them and hope that I pulled off the Mad Men/ 1960’s look that they were going for. They certainly looked the part!
My good friends, Brandi & Dave, allowed us to use their beautiful and unique mid century modern home for the portraits. (Shout out to Brandi & Dave!! Thank you!!)
Anyway, without further ado…the portraits: (btw, what’s up with all my parenthesis in this post??!)
We eventually made our way to the Ranstead Room in Philly. It’s a back alley/ speakeasy style bar…. and it’s awesome. Cheers to the mixologist for my ginger infused glass of delciousness!
Wow, amazing all around and the location ain’t too shaby either 🙂
thanks, Fretzy!
